Once the best and most popular snorkeling destination in the area, Koh Rok has suffered from coral bleaching and some reef destruction and has lost some of its splendor, but it is still well worth a visit. It is actually composed of two islands separated by a deep channel, and surrounding this channel is the “magic 100 square meters” where the best snorkeling is. When you stop for lunch, you will see quite a few enormous monitor lizards that come begging for handouts. The waters are still crystal clear and teeming with fish, and there are plenty of hard and soft corals left
